Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA)

As a District Training Centre (DTC) of ASHA Training Programme of Dakshin Dinajpur District, Nari Mukti Mahila Samity (MNGO) is working ASHA Training round wise as per instruction of the government. Organization has good accommodation, training supports and other facilities. The MNGO Resource Team is continuing the training as District Trainers with GP Supervisors of 8 BPHC/RH in Dakshin Dinajpur District with the support of the members of the Organization and District Health & Family Welfare Samiti, Dakshin Dinajpur since 2007. MNGO resource team supports ASHAs through Handholding support Visit at field level to provide proper service to beneficiaries.

One of the key components of the National Rural Health Mission is to provide every village in the country with a trained female community health activist ASHA or Accredited Social Health Activist. Selected from the village itself and accountable to it, the ASHA will be trained to work as an interface between the community and the public health system
